I am an admin for zimbra in my current company, we have cases something like this:
- User archived every week for the last 10 years
- User had around 500 GB worth of email
User lost its searching capabilities, we believe this is caused by the very large inbox.
So we decided to backup, creating tgz file for this user. but it keeps failing when downloading,
somewhere around 15-17 GB zimbra desktop seems just give up.
is anyone have the same problem like this? what are my options?
thing that we tried:
- convert *.msg directly ... seems *.msg file is different with *.msg in outlook
- do the sed, make converter to eml ... some of the *.msg file is pure binary .. around 10- 20%. And we do not know how to parse this binary.
- use a bigger PC, still failed creating tgz files
any hint and comment are highly appreciated.
Thank you
