Novice IT guy here. Had a lot of issues this week that ended up being a result of that Outlook update that broke EAS support. In trying to fix it however, I made a few things worse.
Long story short, I botched an Ubuntu update and needed to restore the entire VM last night using Veeam to a backup taken that morning. It's running like normal (barring some part of our system I can't figure out going down and requiring us to restart the mail server every few hours) but we are missing basically all of our emails from yesterday since I restored it late at night to a restore point from early that morning. Before restoring, I did use Veeam to run a backup of the system to get a current copy of the Store folder. I've since extracted specifically the Store folder from the backup to our backup management machine.
What, if anything, is the best way to go about merging these? I was thinking using WinSCP to transfer the files and tell it to ignore anything already in the server's store folder, but I'm guessing that's too easy and won't work. Any suggestions?
