/etc/apt/sources.list.d/zimbra.list contents from ZCS 8.8.15 (before updating to ZCS 10.0.x) are:Packages (https://github.com/Zimbra/packages) are available for FOSS, so you need to use Zimbra's package repository, even if you are using FOSS.
Code:
deb [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/87 focal zimbradeb [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/8815 focal zimbradeb-src [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/87 focal zimbra
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/zimbra.list contents (after upgrading to ZCS 10.0.x) are:
Code:
deb [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/87 focal zimbradeb-src [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/87 focal zimbradeb [arch=amd64] https://repo.zimbra.com/apt/1000 focal zimbra
As far as I understand Zimbra FOSS has two main parts.
The first one is: zm-build which let's you build a tar.gz installer which has some basic packages inside of it:
Code:
zimbra-apachezimbra-common-core-jarzimbra-common-core-libszimbra-common-mbox-confzimbra-common-mbox-conf-attrszimbra-common-mbox-conf-msgszimbra-common-mbox-conf-rightszimbra-common-mbox-dbzimbra-common-mbox-docszimbra-common-mbox-native-libzimbra-corezimbra-dnscachezimbra-imapdzimbra-ldapzimbra-loggerzimbra-mbox-admin-console-warzimbra-mbox-confzimbra-mbox-servicezimbra-mbox-store-libszimbra-mbox-warzimbra-mbox-webclient-warzimbra-mtazimbra-proxyzimbra-snmpzimbra-spellzimbra-storezimbra-timezone-data
Given that you state that if you use a FOSS build you have to use Zimbra's package repository my question is:
Do those repos include updated packages for those 10.0.x basic packages that are inside of the installer tar.gz ?
That's something that it was done in ZCS OSE 8.8.15 because you were supposed to just upgrade your systems thank to an apt dist-upgrade.
What about ZCS FOSS 10.0.x?
Thank you.
