Hi, can you please provide some more details about the issue you are facing and which version of desktop app and OS you are using ?
1. Can you check if you have enabled offline sync for longer period and what is the status of the sync process by opening settings > Offline > Sync status.
2. Is the slowness observed everytime when you open the app or only after installing/updating the app ? Also during this time do you see a loading icon or a complete a blank screen, can you please share details about it.
3. Do you notice same slowness while accessing the modern UI through a web browser as well ?
